Vulgarians

Born from the ashes of former bands strewn across the harsh North-East Yorkshire landscape, Post-Punk 4Piece Vulgarians have quickly made a name for themselves; extensively touring their ear-shattering sound and incendiary live show across the UK.

Joining The Wytches on the road as support in 2015, and with the release of their debut EP ‘Life’s Successful Death’ in 2016, Vulgarians soon caught the attention of BBC’s Steve Lamacq. Regular airplay followed across his 6Music show, as well as the band’s first showcase at The Great Escape Festival, Brighton. The live show itself was ranked in the top 5 sets of the festival.

A second EP, tracked and mixed by MJ of Hookworms at Suburban Home Studios (Leeds) dropped in May 2017. ‘Almost-Instinct, Almost True’ successfully turned the heads of tastemakers Tom Robinson (BBC 6 Music) and Huw Stephens (BBC Radio 1), who named single ‘Hands Around The Waste’ his ‘Tip of the Week.’

A second summer of festivals and packed headline shows was followed by further recording, with the band beginning work on their debut LP. Tracked in Suburban Home Studios, and produced by Alex Greaves of The Nave (Leeds), Vulgarians debut album is set for release in late summer of this year (vinyl pressed via PRS for Music Foundation and Modo, as winners of the PRSF Vinyl Printing Flash Fund).
